What is Clifton Strengths?

Clifton Strengths is a psychometric assessment developed by Gallup® to identify innate talents across 34 themes. The online assessment involves 177 paired statement questions that build a unique profile of your strengths, and the chance that you will share the same characteristics as another person are 1 in 33 million.

As a specialist working with young people, I use Clifton Strengths for Students, a version of the full 34 theme report adapted for students and educators, and Strengths Explorer, a shorter version adapted for 10-14 year olds which identifies 3 key strengths.

Organisations like Google, Starbucks & Imperial College London use Clifton Strengths.

Gallup's extensive research on the impact of Clifton Strengths emphasises the importance of not just knowing your strengths but working every day to develop them. To turn talents into strengths, you must invest in them by applying practice, knowledge and skills. This is where, as a certified Gallup® Clifton Strengths coach, I can help. When we work together I’ll help you learn how to develop the talents you have identified into strengths to maximize your full potential.

Gallup® data shows that people who use their Clifton Strengths are:

More likely to be engaged in their jobs.

More likely to strongly agree that they have the opportunity to do what they do best every day.

More likely to report having an excellent quality of life.

“What would happen if we studied what was right with people versus what's wrong with people?"
